You're stupid but I like snow. Easy for me to say, living in a place where the weather is always the same, and we only have one word for snow.

Looks like you Canadians are reaping the benefits of global warming.
===
this coming from a guy who claims to be an intellectual.
winter precipitations are more likely when it's warmer. otherwise the poles would be enormous mountains of snow/ice. i've rarely, if ever, seen snow at -40C.

I love that photo with the snow falling.
I live in PA and while we only got about an inch here, the ice was paralyzing and my tires were locked in for two days. I had a complete stranger see me struggling trying to dig through the ice, and he helped me for 45 minutes until I could free my tires. It would have been worth it if we'd gotten a pretty snowfall, but we just got crap precipitation instead.
________
Depending on how good looking you thought the stranger was, it might have been me. I'm stalking you, with like, binoculars and shit. And gummy worms to snack on.

I don't even live in Toronto. I think the citizens realised their mistake of electing a crooked discount furniture salesman for a mayor after this. The Montreal/Ottawa ice storm was brutal, I felt really bad for you guys.
---------------------
Yeah, the army dosen't really do much for us at all, but we get the ass end of all the fucking weather too. Last time I remember seeing them around was in 98, with the ice storm, when I lived three weeks without power. I think the worst of it was really down around here too...
And BTW I'm not in any of those pictures.

i'm so glad i live in montreal...snow melts as soon as it touches the three inches of salt on the pavement. though it destroys your shoes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice thing about Toronto...our snow usually doesn't gay it up like that. Although every once in a while when this happens, we have to call in the Army. Then we get laughed at by the rest of the country.

Like they needed another reason to laugh at us...bloody Lastman. I had heard the reason he called in the army was because after the amalgamation, he was making cuts. He was used to North York where the streets are wider, and not requiring the same budget that downtown Toronto did. So he cut the budget, no doubt pocketing the rest and then was caught with his pants down.
Cool pictures, Gnarls.

The same storm gave us 6 inches of snow, an inch of rain, 3 inches of ice, then 3 inches of more snow. It had the entire state crippled from Wednesday to Friday because of the ice. Schools were closed from Wednesday to Tuesday.

i hear there's some coming to Chicago tonight, so i rescheduled my flight out because you get delayed four hours at O'Hare for a light fucking drizzle. awesome airport in the summer because you can get anywhere quick, but it SUCKS in the winter because you can't get anywhere at all on time.
i've been away from the snow for years and i'm happy to see it again. i love it.
