If you are coming to this post only to see the rules for posting, here they are:
Rules for posting in ADD Delightfulness
1. Posts are under 500 words, not including link back to this post.
2a. You must link back to this post in your entry.
2b. Come back to this post and link to your entry, so I can find it.
3. You may submit a story if you didn't sign up or, in later rounds, were eliminated. Best scoring author in each round will be put back into the competition.
4. Deadline for posting is, ummm... Wednesday Night, why not?
Rules for Voting
1. Do so.
2. Just rate the posts as normal.
3. Being a dick is discouraged. Not just here, but in all facets of life.

Ok, so what I was going to do was to have you guys e-mail me your submissions so I could post them without people knowing who wrote them. But I decided that idea is stupid. For one, we could only have one ADD Delightfulness post on the front page at any one timn. Secondly, I don't care if you cheat. Vote eighteen times for your best friend, I don't care, that's how the free market works. I think.
I'm not going to assign titles either. That's stupid.
Here is what you do:
I'll post your name below, which means you're officially a contestant in ADD Delightfulness. You post, and link your post back on this page. At the end of a certain amount of time, the worst-scoring submitters will be cut off and we'll move onto the next round. This, you see, is the difference between a Madness and a Delightfulness. This is a Delightfulness.
Also: To facilitate the creation of more ADD posts, which are awesome, there will be a method to join the competition without having signed up. Each round, anyone may submit an ADD Delightfulness post, whether they were eliminated or never signed up, and each round the single highest-scoring entry will be admitted into the next round. Sound complicated? It's not.

Shut up shlongy. Anyway, one thing I did notice about ADD is I didn't vote very often.
If I thought the post genuinely kicked ass, I +2ed it. I didn't -2 anything, because I sure as hell didn't want to be thought of as some dick who did it to try to win this this, because that would be pathetic, and as you put it, being a dick is discouraged, not only here, but in all facets of life
In fact, I didn't even give anything a one, since I generally like every user involved. Interesting.
I have no idea how this points relates to anything in life or the world in general.

Sure. Why not? Keep them short.
And I don't know. It will depend on the number of people who don't enter at all. I'm thinking about 1/4 or 1/5 of those who actually submit, each round, until we get down to five or three or something, then we'll just give the highest rated post the crown.

Yes, that is what you read.
Can you not tell I'm not taking the "competition" aspect all that seriously? Besides, it's really just a modified, more restricted version of "Double elimination."
Besides, only the best post each round gets back in, only for the first few rounds, and most importantly it gets more ADD posts made.
