The thing I find about will power is that I really don't have enough. I can give advice to all and sundry about how they should handle their own situations but when it comes down to sorting out all my little niggling problems I always put it off until another day. At this very moment I am slacking from work and writing this instead! WTF is my problem?
Everyday I tell myself that "Today is the day I sort it all out and start a change in my life that creates a bit more happiness and a little less guilt for me." and then I go and do it all again.
All I have to do is stop and think for a second, and then decide that I am not going to slack off, smoke that joint or eat that microwave meal instead of cook something decent.
I wonder how many other people have this very problem? I would imagine that it's a lot.
I used to have a lot, now.. well... not so much.
What would you give up or take up if you could muster the will power? Take a minute to think about that and then make a decision and stick to it no matter what. That's what I'm going to do.
Today is the day I turn it all around.
No seriously.
