I loved reading those comics as a kid.
Most of the time the Allies were shown as being angels but there was one issue I remember where the Allies snuck into a german camp and started killing them just after the war was declared over. The germans were all celebrating the end of the war and the english came in and shot them all...ah good times.

Truly a facinating insight into what entertained the young British masses.
In the U.S., they taught us that the British spent WWII drinking tea, eating fish and chips, smoking cigars, and playing soccer (but calling it football).
Not that there's anything wrong with that. We were also told that the British army disbanded in shame after losing the American colony's war for independence and the war of 1812 never actually happened.
I suppose I should consider myself fortunate that I don't live in a country that practices revisionist history.
