Oh man..you should have seen the size, substance, and color of the snot i just rocketed. It was awesome.

Anyway...good ol' new england. We go from 70 degrees to 8 inches of snow and ice in a day and a half. Gotta love it.

So due to the snow, I get home from work today around 2, screw around for a while, and go to drop a deuce, and realize I'm all out of TP. I go for a walk to the store to buy some butt paper, some mac & cheese, and a can of chew. Back when i was a kid I used to go walk through the woods every time we had a snow day, so I went for a walk rather than a drive. It was nice.

I was supposed to pick up a friend at the airport and then go drinking, but her flight was canceled. So I was open for the evening. Had some mac and cheese, two beers, and fell asleep on the couch watching college hockey around 8.

Woke up around 2, and coudldn't sleep. surprise surprise. So I had a drink, and read some uber.

This is what you get if you mix 2 glasses of scotch, 3 beers, and some goya corn chips and 3:28 in the morning:

An expose on my liquor cabinet. I didn't go into the wine, because wine is only good for acting like a prick and getting panties to drop...neither of which I'm going to end up doing tonight.

Believe that.

This will sound kind of funny-

You know what I like drinking my scotch out of?

Those fucking little glasses that you find in hotel room bathrooms with the cardboard covers on them.
===
Agreed- they make the best rocks glasses.

As far as martinis go, I like them dirty, and the drier the better. Just wave the vermouth cap above the glass, please- I've found that I think vermouth is kind of nasty.

I was suppose to go "Kegs & Eggs" this morning, but 7:00am just seemed a wee bit too early, even for me...

Oh, and as a side note, last night I was drinking Knob Creek in a rocks glass...funny part is the rocks glasses are the ones you get out of a Crown Royal box.

Well *I* thought it was funny...

Talisker's great. Haven't tried the Craggamore.

And Belvedere Vodka is good but I go with Grey Goose. Call me trendy.

oh and suggesting a cherry garnish with a martini is punishable by death in my house but you have good taste otherwise.

They're PERFECT size rocks glasses and I like the look.

I've stolen approximately 27 of those for the house.

One of these days, if I can think of something to post along with it, I'll attach a picture of my scotch bar - separate form my regular bar.

I picked the Craggamore and Talisker out of the TOP picture...

-----------------

You and shlongy are clearly men of good taste.

Jack Daniel's do a single barrel malt which is pretty tasty on the rocks, and I've also got a 15 year old Laphroaig which goes down well after a hard days work.

A friend of mine went to the states and visited a distillery in Kentucky. He came back with a 27 year old bottle of Evan Williams. He paid about 380 US dollars, but it was worth it.

And where the hell is your blender/strainer?
-----------

Shaker and blender are in the cabinet. should have thrown them into the pic. blender is a hardcore $70 job. kicks ass. Shaker is the kind that comes free with some jameson around christmas time.

I have both of those, plus the "other 4 Classic Single Malts" and the display rack that you'd see in a bar or at the liqour store.
---------------------

Thats actually why I picked those two in the first place. Usually i just stick to macallan 12 for a single malt, but i wanted to mix it up. the liquor store i go to will give you free samples of any scotch you want. it's a fucking yuppity d-bag place, but i like free samples. I'm probably going to get the other 4 "classic" malts shortly.

I like how everyone else steals chimay goblets just like me. In some bar, order a stranger beer, comes in a strange glass...our first instinct is to steal the glass. and we do.

I also have 2 stolen chimay glasses and a bunch of the new s adams pint glasses. kind of cool looking.

I indulged in multiple single malts last night as well and am supposed to go to Savannah today for the country's second largest St. Patty's Day celebration but at this point in time, I'm not certain I can answer the bell.

Blech. What the hell is with you guys? Bourbon. Straight. No chaser. That's it. You got it? Over and over again. You can have some beer, too, and a cigarette, so you have something to do with your hands while your waiting for your next shot. Jesus. Fucking youngins.

Kahlua is always a must - or at least some kind of coffee liqueur.

And get a bottle of Sweet Vermouth - Goes fantastic with Whiskey and Scotch - makes a great Manhattan.

I don't particularly care for Single Malt Scotch... I'll stick with blended.

Here's what's in my bar:

Belvedere, Seagrams Whiskey, Beefeater Gin, Kahlua, Jameson 1780, Vya Dry/Sweet Vermouth, Meyer's Dark , and some cheap light/gold tequila (for when it's a hot day and I want a tropical.)

And where the hell is your blender/strainer?

Don't tell me you layer your martinis.
