I have recently been feeling rather frustrated by the advent of new technology that allows people to play music from their mobile phones through the loudspeaker. Now I know that this can be a useful technology to have, but as far as I'm concerned only as a temporary measure and under the circumstances that there are no other devices for playing music available in the privacy of your own dwelling. Nevertheless I feel that certain members of British society have been abusing this new facility, namely, the hooded youths who seem to think that by wearing oversized baggy jeans and a hooded top that they are in fact, 50 cent. Why on earth anybody would want to be him I fail to understand, maybe that's because I'm getting old, whatever it is, I digress. Recently, and most probably because I have been sent to cover a branch of our firm in one of the most shit-ridden towns in North Manchester, I have noticed that this new (or should I say 'recycled from the '80s') craze of playing bad music in public seems to have hit the aforementioned group of society (and I maintain that it's just not cool if you're not Radio Raheem).
The perpetrators of this act are usually to be found taking shelter at bus stops, in newsagents doorways (attempting to cajole over-18's to buy them their next fix of cheap and nasty cider), limping down the high street, harassing the elderly, and of course their favourite dwelling, at the back of the bus. If anybody can come up with an explanation of the necessity of using your hands free facility to play shite music at loud volumes, when your hands are in fact free, and your earphones are dangling unused around your neck, I applaud them.
As a result of this new found annoyance, I propose new legislation to deport said hooded youths to some uninhabited Outer Hebrides island so they can no longer abuse the privileges of recent technological advances. If I make my move quickly enough I might just be able to get Tony and Gordon on board. However, I feel that if Dave "I'm one of you" Cameron somehow manages to scrap his way into power, I know it'll never happen, after all he has made such an effort to befriend these undesirables, in an unsuccessful attempt to be "hip" and "with it"...note to Cameron...using words like "hip" negates the essence of hip-ness.

My god my god my god, how many times have i sat on the bus thinking if that long haired fucker doesnt turn off that tinny noise from his mobile phone I will thrust my cock so far up his nose he will be weeping my juices for weeks.
Where in reality I have sat there meekly. Occasionally shooting a disapproving look at the chav in question before pretending I was actually checking if their was anything on my shoulder.

Their music sucks and they are British, but that is not the issue here.
The issue is why people will continually pay outrageous prices to listen to low-quality music. I'm not talking about the genre, but the actually sound quality. Even your favorite song is going to sound like absolute shit coming out of a cell phone.
iPods and the like usually aren't much better, what with the 128kbps MP3s.
