While I agree with the sentiment of this comment, I think some clarification is in order:
- I don't find it fun to mess with the "oh-so fragile opposition" - messing with people is not something I typically find all that compelling.
- I am a pretty laid back kid - but I do have the propensity to get wound up - especially in the face of comments specifically designed to push my buttons. I dig it.
As much as the dorks around here like to troll - I love to e-scrap. Certain people seem to get a charge out of remaining ignorant - I get one out of dumping the contents of my brain into a public forum. It makes me happy.
What hasn't quite dawned on kids like Caul - is that while he is perfectly content in keeping his limited mind closed - their idiocy affords me the very cool opportunity to re-state my opinions for those random individuals who wander on over to watch the daily nerd fight.
It's all good press.
- I don't think Caul is particularly fragile, although he does rather desperately position himself as the "laid back one". I find it cute, all his bragging, frequent cam-whores and claims about how he doesn't read anything. Of course - I have no doubt that he IS laid back and really couldn't really give a shit about anyone but himself. The fact he feels compelled to constantly remind people about it is rather amusing, though. He makes me laugh.
- I will admit a certain desperation to crank out something that I find both compelling and timely - and upon reading this whole exchange back from the beginning I certainly think I hit both of those marks rather successfully.
