Modern Morals

*WARNING*
If you're not interested in answering any of my philosophical questions, please scroll down to the bottom for the complimentary pictures.

I think it's pretty difficult for anyone to argue that the modern world is quickly changing the kinds of morals by which we guide our "conscience compasses", and which we find valuable and useful in today's society and culture(s).

Undoubtedly, there are some awesome people here who probably think the old morals from biblical texts, and religious sermons are just fine and shouldn't be changed. If this is you, why not?

For everyone else.....

-What are the morals that you think should be outdated, and dropped altogether?

-What should we replace them with? (if anything!)

-What morals can you see a positive benefit to be redeemed by some people, but not by yourself, and why?

-What are some modern morals that you feel are necessary for the betterment of mankind as we know it? How do you think they should be implemented/introduced?

The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind.

Oh wait, that's not wind, I farted. Whoops.

The problems are not from the extremes, the real issues of morality come from the grey areas and what you do when no one is watching and no one will ever find out about it later.

also

drugs are bad

unless you have enough to share

The unfortunate part is, no matter what any single individual believes, it is always the will of the majority and the man with the gun that dictates just what a moral is. This is a bit cliche of me to say, but had Hitler won, exterminating the Jews would've been considered an act of God rather than an act of terror. That being said, it is usually the will of individuals that transforms just how the public perceives the world, but said individuals are influenced by the same world with which they transform, begging the question, is it the world or the individual whom is at fault for such atrocities? As it was stated in a sociology class of mine "Find me one thing in this room that hasn't been manipulated by man" to which we couldn't find a thing. And also "If you were placed on a deserted Island for the first twenty years of your life with no contact from the outside world, do you honestly believe you'd be the same person you are today?" Don't know, there is no doubt however with the progression of technology do we shed perceived archaic forms of ourselves for what is considered a new page in human history. That same page however no doubt becoming out dated itself, though serving as a spring board for future thought and progression. Simply put, as people die and prop up what they consider revolutionary, they spawn children whom desire much newer ideas and symbols for their own pages in the book we'll call humanity. I submit to you, that all morals are a means to each living generation as a standard of living, but with each generation do we gain a different definition and revision of what constitutes a norm.

What Yozz said. Also, as to your question about what new moral rules need to be added to the code: it should be considered immoral to tag people in unflattering facebook photos.

Stop taking prescription drugs, they will be the death of you and your creativity
You ever hear of a depressed caveman? Presript drugs are for the bored, wealthy and lame
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Other than allergy tablets and medicine to prevent kidney stones, along with cipro at the moment for the surgery I just had to remove one of the painful little fuckers, I don't take prescription drugs anymore.

My creativity is still there, I just don't use it on here so much anymore because I'm usually pre-occupied with other things.

Maybe I'll start writing stories on here again, maybe not, I'll do it when it suits me.

Whats all this talk lately about Morels. Who would have thought that some holey fungus would make everyone get so upset. I personally don't like mushrooms but I say "to each his own" I mean really.
Who cares if someone likes to enjoy morels in the privace of their own home. They're not hurting anybody!!
Can't we all just get along??

Morals should follow the Golden Rule: Treat others as you want to be treated. Ever notice how control freaks get really pissed when you tell THEM how to act?

Cool chess game!

The comment about the beer chess I've just realized could be improved greatly, just don't use fucking cheap, hipster flavored PBR.

Done under the influence of Xanax, which means it might appear sucky to me later.

I can live with that, because I'm just that god-damned awesome.

Now, son, you don't want to drink beer. That's for daddys, and kids with
