Apparently Science! Has Never Seen A Movie

"For the very first time, scientists have demonstrated that a brain implant can improve thinking ability in primates. By implanting an electrode array into the cerebral cortex of monkeys, researchers were able to restore — and even improve — their decision-making abilities. The implications for possible therapies are far-reaching, including potential treatments for cognitive disorders and brain injuries. But there's also the possibility that this could lead to implants that could boost your intelligence."

Apparently Science! has never seen Planet of the Apes. Or Lawnmower Man. Or, I don't know, 90% of the sci-fi/horror movies ever produced. C'mon guys, step out of the lab once in a while. It won't kill you, and it might you keep you from destroying civilization as we know it. If anyone needs me, I'll be practicing my Charlton Heston.

I, for one, welcome our new simian overlords.

I don't know what 'noncing' is, but it sounds comically dirty and so I approve.

I think that's because you come across as an intolerable douche bueller, as opposed to quartermain who is just a noncing plagiarist.

The only thing that made reading this turd of a post worth it.

Your reply was better than the post and I did laugh so even out the score. Still, my posts are works of genius and yet they get voted down...

There were actually six original sentences. Seven, if you count my proposition to equip labs with an Offcial Ian Malcolm. Work smarter, not harder, bucko. That's the secret.

My goodness I can't kill for a score like this on my posts and yet how much though was put into this abortion. Thank you for quoting an internet article and writing 3 original sentances.

Every lab should have a post known as the Official Ian Malcom to point stuff like this out to all the other eggheads.

This really doesn't qualify as a post. Hence, the traditional -2.

I think this would be fine so long as they develop AI for computers to oversee the animals and humans with increased intelligence. Nothing could go wrong there, right?

JonnyX, I think your comment is the opposite of what Q-main was trying to say. Probably not a good idea.

now if they can just do that for humans, we'll all be fine
