Or so I've heard. I understand the rationale. A kid without a significant amount of cognitive development and socialization is less inhibited. As such, their behavior would make them appear intoxicated.
Of course, this begs the question: should we be giving kids booze and testing what an uninhibited person would do if extra uninhibited? Seems like an experiment that is a long time coming.
...a control kid with Juicy Juice.
...a kid who who thought he was getting booze, but was getting Juicy Juice.
...a kid who thought he was getting Juicy Juice and was getting booze.
...and a kid who straight out knew he was getting booze, was excited at the prospect, and was given shot after shot until completely fucked up.
There are some moral issues: Do you let a kid drive home if he says he thinks he's alright or do you take his keys? Is it acceptable to allow girls in the experiment when booze often leads to online shopping and a tendency to wear dildo hats (granted the latter is more commonplace in a adult bachelorette parties)? Should you give kids booze?
Very tough questions. In end end will have to weigh the scientific insights we'd gain with the moral blah, blah, blah and of course how funny it would be to see drunk kids.
