So, today a robot killed an auto worker at the Volkswagen plant in Germany. My guess is that Darko broke up with the robot, and in a fit of rage it lashed out.*

A Habeeb post with a sunglassed sun fusioning down on the various terminator models, RoboCop, and Skynet would have gotten a +2 from me, if it were announcing this news.

Judgement Day happened in August 2007 according to the Terminator movies.

I read this on Bloomberg as well, apparently he was installing the robot, so he must have thought it wasn't energized.
I am surprised this happened in Germany though, Germans are meticulous about following instructions...

[insert a one-word synopsis of your personal feelings about the subject, making sure to end the word in -ly here, ie. "sadly" or "fortunately" or "oddly"] no.

Wait. So you mean this isn't a sign of judgment day?

MLW used to work in a glass factory that used a lot of robots. A guy got killed by a robot there when he ignored/disregarded safety protocols and tagout procedures when doing maintenance on the robot and ended up taking a 6-cup vacuum gripper array to the head at about 10 m/s. No doubt the same sort of thing happened in Germany in this incident - human error leads to dead human. This is a non-story.

a big one down at the waterfront this weekend.

Marge: You didn't remember that. You just saw it on TV.
